Carrot sandwich | Easy carrot cheese sandwich recipe
A quick and tasty, carrot, whole wheat bread sandwich with cheese and tomato ketchup.
This is a perfect breakfast for kids during busy mornings and at the same time a full filling one. Making a sandwich is always a pleasure for me as I can make varieties with the available ingredients within a short time. All you need is a loaf of bread and some veggie or fruit with honey/jam/peanut butter or sauce/cheese. That’s all Yippee fix a sandwich in just five minutes.
This particular carrot sandwich is my kids favorite one as breakfast or a snack.
Few points on Carrot:
Carrots are low in glycemic index scale hence good for dieting and diabetes.
These are an excellent source of vitamin A in the form of beta-carotene thus very good for eye health.
Intake of carrots raw or cooked are vital to controlling blood cholesterol levels, helps in reducing the risk of cancer, helps for healthy weight loss, and last but not least, promotes heart health.

Ingredients
Ingredients:
- Whole grain bread
- Few tsp ghee/oil
- Grated cheese
- Grated carrot
- Tomato ketchup
Instructions
Recipe:
- Grease a Tawa with ghee or butter.
- Place 2 slices of bread. Toast the bottom sides in medium flame.
- On one slice's top, spread grated cheese.
- Spread grated carrot on top of the cheese.
- Apply tomato sauce or ketchup on the top of the other slice.
- Now flip the ketchup slice and place on top of carrot spread slice.
- Apply few drops of ghee on top.
- Flip the whole sandwich and press well, toast for two mins in the low flame so that the cheese inside the sandwich melts.
- Cut diagonally and serve as breakfast or tea time snack.

Tips:
- I used a freshly grated carrot for making this sandwich. You can make the same with leftover carrot stir fry/poriyal.
- Avoid cheese if you have a cholesterol problem. Instead, you can use thick non-sour curd as a spread.
