Ingredients:

    Spicy version:

    • 4 slices
    • 2 eggs
    • 4 tsp oil
    • 1 onion
    • 1 green chilli
    • ½ tsp pepper powder
    • ½ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp chilli powder

    Sweet version:

    • 4 slices
    • 4 tsp butter/ghee
    • 2 eggs
    • ¼ cup milk 4 tbsp
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • ¼ tsp baking salt
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp cashews chopped

    Instructions
     

    Recipe to make spicy bread omelette:

    • In a small blender, take the onion, green chilli, salt, pepper powder and chilli powder.
    • Add two whole eggs and blend everything into a liquid mixture.
    • Pour this egg mixture into a plate.
    • Dip the bread in the mixture on both the sides.
    • In the meantime, heat a Tawa, drizzle oil, place the egg-dipped bread and toast.
    • Fry the bottom side for 2 to 3 minutes until the egg become cooked.
    • Flip and cook the other side for few minutes until omelet gets the golden color.
    • As you may know, eggs get cooked very fast hence cook in low to medium heat to avoid burning.
    • This spicy bread omelet would be very soft inside and tastes very good with tomato ketchup.
    • For an extra touch, you can add coriander leaves in the liquid egg mixture.
    • Serve hot for a rich taste.

    Recipe to make sweet bread omelette:

    • In a small mixing bowl, add eggs and some milk.
    • Also add salt, a pinch of baking salt, and sugar or brown sugar.
    • Beat well until sugar dissolves in egg completely.
    • As an optional ingredient, add finely chopped cashew nuts and mix.
    • Heat a Tawa with a tap of ghee or butter, pour some three tablespoons of the sweet egg mixture.
    • If you are using cashews, stir every time before pouring on tawa because the nuts may settle down due to heaviness.
    • Quickly shape the omelette with a ladle, and place a slice of bread.
    • Press gently to make the breadsticks with the omelette.
    • When the omelette is cooked, flip and toast the bread side.
    • Drizzle some ghee if required and toast the bread side to golden color.
    • Serve hot with milk or with honey dip.
    • Sweet bread omelette is ready.

    Notes

    Tips: 1) For spicy bread omelet, instead of green chilli you can use pepper powder fully. 2) In addition to that cook spice bread omelette with oil and sweet bread omelet with butter/ghee. 3) The sweet version is best suitable for kids breakfast or snack box. Moreover, the addition of baking salt is to give extra puffiness to the omelet. Omit if you don't want.
