But you can follow the same recipe for making moong dal Kara paruppu. 2) Next, if you have shallots please use them instead of big onion as small onions are better in taste. 3) Finally, do not avoid asafoetida as it is one of the key ingredients in this Kara paruppu. Also, I recommend not skipping the garlic. 4) Last but not least, you can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing red chilli and sambar powder.
