Avocado spice cake is a spicy eggless cake made with mashed avocado, flour and your favorite spices. This is a perfect snack for spice lovers with pepper powder and chile flakes. Try this spicy cake with all the goodness of Avocado.

Ingredients used in this spicy cake with Avocado
Avocado – Choose a well ripen one without dark spots. Scoop and mash well without lumpy mass.
Spices – Italian mixed herbs with chile flakes and pepper powder. The herbs are quite overpowering so you can reduce the quantities according to your needs.
Fat – Avocado satisfies more than enough of our fat needs in this cake. Moreover, we also add some oil to bring little lightness to our cake which is otherwise difficult to get. Since there are no eggs in this Avocado cake oil is required.
Salts – Regular sea salt with a tsp of baking powder and a quarter tsp of baking soda. Avocados tend to make the cake heavy and dense, so use baking powder and soda to raise the cake.
Eggless Spicy Avocado cake
Preparation:
- Choose a ripe Avocado, mash well.
- Preheat the oven to 375F(190°C).
- Prepare an 8″*4″ bread pan by greasing the sides. You can put parchment paper on the bottom.
Recipe for the spicy Avocado cake:
- Take the ripe Avocado in a mixing bowl and add a 1/4 cup of oil. Beat and mix oil with Avocado using a whisk.
- Next, add 2tbsp of honey, mix again and add 1tsp of finely chopped garlic.
- Add your favorite choice of seasoning. I added a tsp of Italian mixed herbs plus red chilli flakes with a tsp of salt and a quarter tsp of pepper powder. Also, put a pinch of cinnamon powder.
- Next keep a sieve in the bowl and add 1.5 cups of flour with a tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp of baking soda.
- Sieve the flour and salts into the bowl and combine everything with a spatula.
- Add required warm water to make the cake batter smooth and semi-liquid form. Don’t add excess water.
Bake Avocado spice cake:
- Fill the prepared bread pan with the cake batter. Tap on the counter a few times to remove excess air bubbles.
- Smooth out the top and bake at 375F for 30 to 40 mins in a preheated oven until done.
- Keep the cake pan in the middle rack. Check the cake after 30mins and take it out if it’s done. Leave it for a few more minutes if needed.
- Allow the cake to cool down completely on a rack. Remove the parchment paper and let it cool.
- Cut the beautiful, green, and spicy Avocado cake gently into slices and serve with masala tea or green tea.
Tips:
1) You can top the cake with chopped nuts or dark choco chips if you prefer.
2) Feel free to adjust the spices to suit your taste.
3) Baking time depends on the pan size and the oven type. As this is a dense cake do check and decide on the timings.
