Egg poriyal | Muttai poriyal | South Indian egg bhurji

Egg poriyal is the tasty South Indian style of making egg bhurji with onions, chillies and pepper powder. Learn how to make with stepwise pictures.

Egg recipes are very tempting to make the kids eat their food without fuss. At least two whole eggs are recommended for young kids and healthy adults per week.

As you may know, there are hundreds of egg recipes available all over the world which makes these eggs the staple food in many countries. If you like NorthIndian style Anda bhurji try my recipe.

If you have an ‘egg intolerance’ problem, then it is better to avoid eggs completely or limit your intake to a weekly once.

Muttai poriyal as called in Tamil Nadu is very simple to prepare and take just ten minutes to finish. When you are too hurry to make a detailed vegetable stir fry/poriyal items, prepare this egg poriyal in a few minutes.

This South Indian Muttai poriyal is different from the north Indian egg bhurji because of the ingredients added. This egg fry goes well with sambar rice, rasam rice and chapati. According to me, the best combo is Tomato rasam with rice and this egg poriyal.
