As you all know, any kind of the whole legume in its sprout form is the healthiest stage for us to consume. Sprouts have loads of nutrients compared to fully grown whole grams or seeds.

Usually, people use legumes like green moong, fenugreek seeds, chickpea, Kidney bean, soybean and horse gram to make sprouts. Today I use green moong and horse gram to make mixed sprouts.

Anything and everything will have a sprouting stage in it’s growing phase and making the sprouts at home is not a difficult task at all.

Nowadays, many supermarkets have different kinds of sprouted stuff like beans and plants for consumers. But purely homegrown is always special and healthy. Sprouts can be eaten raw or cooked. The raw ones are added to salads for maximum benefits and weight loss. However, for those who have digestion problem or with underlying health complications, it is highly recommended to cook the sprouts thoroughly before consuming. Try ‘Sprouts salad’.

Moreover, these taste best as stir-fried plain or with other simple ingredients. In some places, they use the sprouted grams in gravy also.
